WCB Alberta is an Insurance company that Denies as many claims as possible.

denying claims and proper medical care saves them money.
injured workers are a liability and therefore need to be removed from the system as soon as possible.
the so called appeal process is a sham... the appeal board is on the payroll of WCB.
Independant Medical Exams are conducted by Doctors on the the WCB payroll and these Doctors are taught to lie and decieve as a matter of common WCB practice.
WCB does not lose in Court, they have endless resources and will use the most underhanded tactics available.

My Story

Injured my back at work.

WCB denied I had a herniated disk for 3 months until a CT scan and MRI revealed that I did.

WCB CUT-OFF my benenfits and medical care several times when I would not subject myself to a damaging Back-To-Work program that forced me to do inflamatory excersises that increased my pain and further damaged my lower back.

I paid for my own Chriropractic treatment.

I went to a local Fitness club and did (common sense) upright excercises for 3 hours per day, paid for by me.

WCB refused to launch a proper work place investigation, I proved 3 times to their lying investigator that I indeed was lifting 80 lbs.

After 5 months of sub standard treatment I was CUT-OFF from all support. I was forced to sell all that I had and relocate to the city.

WCB put me on a 10 lb. lifting limit and said I had to get a job.

I could not apply for 98% of Jobs because of the lifting restriction.

I filed 5 appeals, 1 was denied, the other 4 were not submitted to the appeal board, but instead were destroyed by my Case Manager's Supervisor.

WCB found out exactly how much money I owed Canada Revenue Agency.

On my last Independant Medical Exam the WCB doctor wrote in his report that I had been employed out-of-province. He lied and it is used as a basis for ending what little support I had from WCB.

At this point I have a full time Job.

I quit taking all medications, even though I need them.

I can lift about 20% of my pre-injury capacity. I can no longer work in heavy Industry.

WCB will not even consider giving me any treatments that may improve my well being.

I live, work and sleep in constant pain and discomfort.

There is a non-surgical treatment available right here in Alberta that has an excellent track record, WCB will not even look at it in my case.
