My Story
Injured my back at work.
WCB denied I had a herniated disk for 3 months until a CT scan and MRI revealed that I did.
WCB CUT-OFF my benenfits and medical care several times when I would not subject myself to a damaging Back-To-Work program that forced me to do inflamatory excersises that increased my pain and further damaged my lower back.
I paid for my own Chriropractic treatment.
I went to a local Fitness club and did (common sense) upright excercises for 3 hours per day, paid for by me.
WCB refused to launch a proper work place investigation, I proved 3 times to their lying investigator that I indeed was lifting 80 lbs.
After 5 months of sub standard treatment I was CUT-OFF from all support. I was forced to sell all that I had and relocate to the city.
WCB put me on a 10 lb. lifting limit and said I had to get a job.
I could not apply for 98% of Jobs because of the lifting restriction.
I filed 5 appeals, 1 was denied, the other 4 were not submitted to the appeal board, but instead were destroyed by my Case Manager's Supervisor.
WCB found out exactly how much money I owed Canada Revenue Agency.
On my last Independant Medical Exam the WCB doctor wrote in his report that I had been employed out-of-province. He lied and it is used as a basis for ending what little support I had from WCB.
At this point I have a full time Job.
I quit taking all medications, even though I need them.
I can lift about 20% of my pre-injury capacity. I can no longer work in heavy Industry.
WCB will not even consider giving me any treatments that may improve my well being.
I live, work and sleep in constant pain and discomfort.
There is a non-surgical treatment available right here in Alberta that has an excellent track record, WCB will not even look at it in my case.

i need a good lawyer i want to sue the company and Alberta wcb , i injured myself twice working in
luggage deportment, i took 3 months of work because i couldn't go back to work do to my lower back pain injure..
wcb was harassing me, telling me that you need to go back to work there is light duty for you or we won't pay for your, physiotherapy, witch my doctor recommend me to go to, so i was getting threats by the the company nurse saying that i'm going to get fired if i don';t go back to work,
same think later on from my walk in doctor
he was telling me that they might fire you if you don't go back to work,... i was telling him that i'm in pain i can't go back to work.. i hurt myself twice and i'm in pain, i can't sleep i can't sit i can't walk so limit,soo then, after 2 and a half wcb calls me tells me that we have a special doctor in Edmonton to come see, soo just before returning back to work on light duty wcb of alberta calls me tells me that we have booked appointment for you to come see one of our doctors, so the wcb tells me that my company was suppose to pay for my travelling, so what happens is the company nurse decide to cancel my appointment do to its costing soo much money for the company to fly me to Edmonton and back to work,
so finally after 2 weeks dealing with all the harrasement from the company nurse and coordinator and web and physiotherapy that they have in the job side, my pain seem like was just getting worse and worse, my right leg i couldn't feel for like a week almost do to my lower back pain, i finally called the union and told them all about it, but the union is not helping much
just the harrasing stop from the nurse and co-ordinater... sooo i called the wcb manager to see what the doctor resualt was after see in one of there doctors in Edmonton , she tells me that its just part of your born nature injury and she started laughin, i'm soo mad right know... i feel like fking exploding

Hi everyone Wcb is nothing but he'll on earth I have two many injury to count first injury was a head injury in 1979 I don't recall the injury but I know I have been hurt.to this day I steal asking myself what has happen to me why so I feel this way. I get depress for no reason I feel suicide very ofen. Then now I must deal with workers comp. I my claims get deny even when there are wittiness who. Seen the accident. I have been assaulted by a Wcb doctor back in th1980 Wcb cover it up. Iam on new claim now for my shoulder still claim is getting denied even my owner was the witness
Plus two other people were there seen the accident happen. I need everybody help to save my life because next time they tell me to appeal it. That will put over edge I will take my own life I cannot keep taking lies and corrupt system any more. CEO must get involved on all my claims to save my life if any lawyer read this please help call me at 780 266-5626 trying to save my life thank everyone you this story is for real I had tonight of Wcb I rather be dead then continue with Wcb good bye everybody bless you all.
